brownricebandit ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit brownricebandit.com ("the Site") or use the Better You Bootcamp ("the Service").
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Name and email address (when you sign up or subscribe)
- Phone number (only if you choose to give it)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe, we do not store your card details)
- Any messages you send us by email
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)
- Events such as viewing a page, finishing the quiz or buying a plan, recorded by the Meta Pixel (see Sections 5 and 7)
- Whether our emails were opened and which links in them were clicked, through a small image and tracked links inside the email
Health information you choose to share:
The intake for a plan asks about food allergies and intolerances, injuries and surgeries, diagnoses you choose to share, medications and supplements, sleep, stress, work hours, your goals and, if you want, tape measurements or progress photos. We ask for these so the plan we write is safe for you and fits your life, and for no other reason. We do not ask for medical records, lab results or test reports, and we do not interpret them. If you send one anyway, we will point you back to your doctor and will not keep it. Health information is used only to write and revise your plan, is never sold, and is shared only with the services we use to deliver the plan (email and file storage). You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing bootcamp@brownricebandit.com.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including writing and revising the plan you bought
- Process payments and send transactional communications
- Send marketing emails, which you can stop at any time with the unsubscribe link in every one
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Analyze usage trends to improve the Site experience
- Measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who have visited the Site or interacted with us there
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Text Messages
We do not currently send text messages. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first on a separate form and update this policy before the first message.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
- Service providers: Payment processors (Stripe), email marketing platforms, and hosting providers that help us operate the Service.
- Advertising partner (Meta): When you view a page, finish the quiz or buy a plan, we share that event with Meta Platforms, Inc., the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It is sent by the Meta Pixel on the Site and by Meta's Conversions API from our own server. What we share is your email address and first name in scrambled (hashed) form, the cookie IDs Meta sets in your browser, your browser type and, for a purchase, the amount paid. We never share your quiz answers, your intake or any health information with Meta. Meta uses this to tell us which ads worked and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site or interacted with us on Facebook and Instagram, and it handles the information under its own privacy policy. Some state privacy laws call this sharing for targeted advertising. Section 7 explains how to opt out.

6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze traffic, and support our marketing efforts. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Site.
Advertising cookies. The Site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta that sets cookies in your browser. It tells us which of our Facebook and Instagram ads led to a visit, a finished quiz or a purchase, and it lets us show our ads again to people who visited the Site, for example someone who took the quiz and did not buy. To opt out, you can turn off ads based on activity from partners in your Meta ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences (the same settings are in Accounts Center on Instagram), block third party cookies in your browser, or use a browser or extension that blocks tracking. You can also ask us to delete the data we hold about you, as described in Section 9.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
